Creating accounts
Creating accounts (i.e. How to create private email addresses)

As the site Administrator you can create a number of new accounts on the server and assign specific email addresses to them. The main reason why people do this - is to give family members or colleagues their own email private addresses.
Just like your Administrator account - each account you create has its own special place for storing incoming email. This is called a POP3 mailbox. By assigning a specific email address to the account, the mailbox will store only email messages sent to that address.

This means you can give other people (or if you are a company - departments etc) their own private email addresses. They will ONLY receive and have access to email addressed directly to them. Please note you must NOT ever give your Administrator details to anyone else.

Example:

You may wish to give your colleague Fred their own private email address

fred@yourselectedname.com

You would create an account specifically for Fred, select a username and password for him and assign the account the fred@yourselectedname.com email address. Fred would use his own account details to access his email and would not have access to yours.

Step 1: Log into your hosting account control panel by navigating to www.yourselectedname.com/cpanel. You will be presented with a dialog box that asks for a username and a password. Please enter the user name and password that was sent to you by email.

Step 2: On the main page, please click on the 'Mail' icon.

Step 3: From the Mail Manager Main Menu select Add/Remove Accounts option (second from top.)

Step 4: Click the Add Account link at the bottom of the page.

Step 5: In the spaces provided, please type the name of the account, the password and the disk space you would like to dedicate to the mailbox. Click the Create button.

Step 6: To log out of the system please click on Log Out (top left of screen) then completely close down all open copies of Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator - whichever web browser software you are using to access your web based control panel.
