site is one of the best known UK retailers of specialist climbing equipment.
2004/5 saw some extremely successful banner advertising campaigns by Rob Fearn
on this site, below are a selection of both specific and general campaigns.

The 'Bulk Buy' campaign ran for over 5 months and was tied in with the Rock
+ Run weekly, e-mailshot. One of the most sucessful banners in terms of click
thru's, the banner was designed for the launch of a new 'Bulk Buy' department
on the Rock + Run online store, the style of the banner was 'borrowed' from
a leading online auction site!

The Sportive Makalu campaign was one of a series run in the post Christmas 05
season. Designed to clear out excess stock of a particularly specialised equipment,
a marked increase in turnover of these stock item was noted during this period.

Previously Rock + Run had marketed Christmas gift ideas based around a 'For
Him' or 'For Her' style campaign. Christmas 04 saw the products broken down
into budget specific groups i.e under a tenner / £10 to £20 etc. This, along
side the banner advertising campaign below, and targeted weekly mailshots, helped
Rock + Run towards their most successful Christmas yet.

This banner shows how advertising can have a significant impact. These items
had been on sale previously without advertising support. Following the launch
of the advertisement, a marked increase in stock turnover was noted.

One of the easiest things to advertise is a bargain. By making this, the 'Bulk Buy' and 'Christmas Gift' banners dateless, the banners may be reused over a number of years.
